What Greek fonts should I use on my PC/Mac? Regardless of whether you use Windows, Linux, or Mac, the first answer to this question is that you should not be using a font that replaces Latin letters with the shapes of Greek letters (which typifies fonts created in the 1980s and 1990s). Rather, you should type all Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Russian, Chinese, etc.
Dear Philip and Steve: Thank you for your replies. I do appreciate them and let me respond. I have Greek fonts on my Mac. I have used them for other publications with no difficulty. This journal explicitly does not want them to be used but states unequivocally that I must use the Unicode characters/font in Times New Roman on MS Word. They state I may use no other fonts.

I have tried all of your suggestions and they do not work. Compressed pc games direct download. For example, there is no way to make the iota subscript or to have an alpha with a circumflex and a breathing mark accent using the methods you describe. I may be missing something. The Advance Symbol feature does not have all the Greek characters with the correct accents. The Smith Classics site you indicated is designed for PC's and I have tried it to no avail on my MacBook Pro. I do thank you for your efforts but this one seems to have utterly flummoxed me. Could it be the problem with the new 2016 version of MS Word which I downloaded from the OIT page 10 days or so ago?

Your message was moved here so I have no idea what suggestions you may have had - as you can see, there is no reply in the thread from a Phillip or a Steve. Have you investigated use of the OS X Character Viewer? Access it by going to Edit Emoji & Symbols or use the keyboard shortcut Control+Command+Spacebar. Apple has redesigned it several times so it is a bit different in various versions of OS X, but this is a shot from the Yosemite 10.10.5 implementation: Please mark HELPFUL or ANSWERED as appropriate to keep list as clean as possible ☺ Regards, Bob J.
